The All Wales Access to Higher Education programme is aimed at mature students (usually aged 18+) who wish to return to education after a break or are looking for qualifications for a change of career.

Of the 270 students who successfully completed the programme last year, 231 gained places at university – these included midwifery at Swansea University, physiotherapy and midwifery at King’s College, London, clinical psychology at the University of East London, paediatric nursing at Bristol University, business at London Metropolitan University, English at Bath University, history at Portsmouth University and business at Munich University.

If you’ve been out of education for a while then our Pre-Access programme is ideal for you. It’s been specially created to assist students with the skills development that’s essential for successful completion of Access courses within Gower College Swansea.


Need funding support?

ALG funding is for students aged 19 or over who are studying a further education course at college. You could get up to £1,500 a year.
