Bus Passes

Bus passes for academic year 2024/25
Full time students are currently offered a subsidised bus pass. Bus passes can be purchased when you enrol or from Student Services at the College.

Students who are eligible for FCF funding can apply for a bus pass through their FCF application.

Tycoch / Llwyn y Bryn / Jubilee Court
At Tycoch , Llwyn y Bryn and Jubilee Court, students can purchase a First Cymru Bus Pass. This pass can be used to get to and from College and can also be used on evenings and weekends on First Cymru buses.

The cost of a bus pass is £335* and is valid from 1 September 2024 to 30 June 2025.

Instalment plan (administration charge of £15)

  • Instalment 1 - £150*
  • Instalment 2 (due on 4 November 2024) - £100* leave credit/debit card details with us or use post-dated cheque for 04/11/24
  • Instalment 3 (due on 6 January 2025) - £100* leave credit/debit card details with us or use post-dated cheque for 06/01/25

Please note you will need either post-dated cheques or debit/credit card details to set up the instalment plan. Instalment plans cannot be set by ApplePay or GooglePay.

For students attending the Tycoch Campus and who are no longer served by First Cymru routes, a NAT bus pass can be purchased from the College. The student must provide a passport photo of themselves.

Gorseinon
At Gorseinon, students can purchase a South Wales Transport bus pass which will allow them to travel to and from the College using the College bus service at the start and end of the day.

The cost of a bus pass is £335* and is valid from 1 September 2024 to 30 June 2025.

Terms and Conditions of being issued with a bus pass – Gorseinon Campus

  • The bus pass is issued by SWT and is partly funded by Gower College Swansea 
  • Full refunds will only be provided to students who withdraw and return their pass before 30 September.
  • No refunds will be available after this date for any non-use of the bus pass or if excluded or if the student withdraws from their course. There are no refunds for the administration fee if the instalment plan has been used.
  • Where an instalment plan is in place, the student will still be liable to pay the full cost of the bus pass.
  • No refunds are made where a student passes their driving test (any balance outstanding on an instalment plan will also still be liable for payment).
  • Bus passes for the academic year will be issued on an annual basis.

  • The bus pass is issued by First Cymru and is partly funded by Gower College Swansea.
  • Refunds will only be provided to students who withdraw and return their pass before 30 September.

  • Where an instalment plan is in place, the student will still be liable to pay the full cost of the bus pass.
  • No refunds are made where a student passes their driving test (any balance outstanding on an instalment plan will also still be liable for payment).
  • Where bus passes are supplied to students free of charge (e.g. FCF funded/feeder school), the College will cancel the annual ticket (which will become invalid for travel) should the student withdraw from the College.
  • Bus passes for the academic year will be issued on an annual basis.
