With a dedication to innovation and fostering talent, the College marks a significant milestone by introducing a curriculum that aligns with the demands of contemporary industries.

Finalists in the AoC Beacon Awards 2023/24

Gower College Swansea has been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious Association of Colleges Beacon Awards for Widening Participation.

The Beacon Awards celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK further education (FE) colleges. It is managed by AoC and run through AoC Charitable Trust - a registered charity.

Here is some important information for anyone thinking of coming along to our open evening at the Gorseinon Campus on Thursday 16 November (5.30pm – 7.30pm)

Due to our £17m refurbishment of the Campus – which will result in enhanced facilities including social space, a new atrium and classrooms - there might be some extra things to consider before you visit us.

Please pre-register for the event if you can. Not only will this likely save you time when you arrive but it will also allow us to keep in touch with you with any event updates.

Gower College Swansea Shines at Print Exhibition

Talented students and staff from Gower College Swansea were recently selected to exhibit their artwork at the Mission Gallery, as part of an innovative project that has united artists and creatives in the local area.

College introduces innovative new User Centred Design apprenticeship

Gower College Swansea is delighted to announce the availability of a brand new User Centred Design apprenticeship pathway. This new route has been designed to meet the needs of employers and skill gaps in the local area, allowing learners to gain nationally recognised qualifications whilst working and learning. 

Visit to China

Mark Jones, CEO, Ruth Owen Lewis and Jeannie Yu from GCS International, embarked on a pivotal journey across China to strengthen partnerships and explore new collaborations. Their busy itinerary included major cities like Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, where they visited an array of partners including schools, colleges, universities and study centres.

Learner Wellbeing Week 2023

Gower College Swansea is once again at the forefront of recognising the importance of the health and wellbeing of its community. And this time, it's the learners who are in the spotlight! 

Learner Wellbeing Week, a dedicated event organised by the College, aims to promote positive mental and physical health and foster an environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. 

Oxford and Cambridge admissions tests

We are aware that some of our learners experienced significant technical issues with their recent Oxford and Cambridge admissions tests.

These were national issues, experienced by candidates across the UK.

Technical disruptions impacted the tests which were taken online, in particular the Math Admissions Test (MAT) and the English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT).

The Universities of Oxford and Cambridge are fully aware of this situation.
