Electrical Installation and Engineering (Electrical) courses are available at a range of levels, allowing full time students to enrol onto the course which is appropriate for their existing qualifications.

Those commencing at Level 1 or 2 will have the opportunity to progress to the next level, with potential options of an apprenticeship, higher education course or employment at the completion of their course.

Courses are delivered in industry standard workshops, enabling students to develop the skills required for a career in the electrical sector.

Part time courses are also available from Level 2 up to Level 5.

Mariusz Gawarecki, Engineering Student of the Year

Engineering Student of the Year: Mariusz Gawarecki

Mariusz was nominated for the South Wales Regional Welsh Skills award where he competed against 11 other students and won the competition convincingly. He also took Silver at the Welsh National Construction Skills competition.

He is very gifted at interpreting technical drawings and takes great pride in his work. His success on the course has even inspired his father to seek work within the industry.

Mariusz is very well liked among his peers and he manages to be ‘part of the gang’ while also remaining 100% focused on his work.

I did this course whilst working for a local electrics firm as my employers wanted me to get more qualifications, experience and theory based knowledge of my trade."
