'Big Ideas' baritone visits Beauty students

Big Ideas Role Model and multi-talented Welsh baritone Mark Llewellyn Evans delivered a day of workshops recently at the Broadway Centre.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for the new beauty therapists to gain an insight in the careers they could follow in the film and music industry," says the college's Enterprise Officer Lucy Turtle, who organised the event.

Mark studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the National Opera Studio and has worked alongside major entertainment figures including Katherine Jenkins, Alfie Boe, David Blaine, Rob Brydon and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. His career has taken him all over the world, performing at top venues such as international opera houses and
the Millennium Stadium, and he also appeared in films.

Alongside his performing Mark also trained as an animator and special needs tutor, running education programmes for children of all ages and abilities for companies such as Welsh National Opera, English National Opera and Opera North.
