Royal Navy careers talk for Engineering Tech students

Representatives from the Royal Navy recently spent the day with Level 3 Pre-Apprenticeship / Engineering Technology students at Tycoch, helping to develop their communication skills in preparation for forthcoming interviews.

Following a prior visit the students made to HMS Richmond at Cardiff Bay, the Royal Navy's Careers team offered to visit the college and assist with the interview preparations which included providing feedback on CVs and practical interview skills.

"The Royal Navy representatives were very impressed with the high calibre of our students and how they were applying themselves so professionally to their upcoming engineering apprenticeship interviews," says Curriculum Leader Coral Planas. "We have now been invited to RNAS Yeovilton to spend the day with the air engineers and the Fleet Air Arm Helicopter Force. This was a really positive experience that the students have been afforded by the Royal Navy and we are very privileged to have such close links with them."
