Second student takes to the stage for Frantic Assembly

Updated 05/11/2015

For the second consecutive year, a Performing Arts student from Gower College Swansea has been selected to take part in a showcase performance with the award-winning Frantic Assembly theatre company.

Ryan Norman was one of just 12 young male dancers to successfully audition for the Ignition Company – part of Frantic Assembly – for their recent sold-out performance of physical theatre at Stratford Circus Arts Centre.

Ignition features only the brightest and bravest male performers aged 16-20, who are brought together following a UK-wide search and selection process.

Created in just four days and directed by Frantic Assembly’s Artistic Director Scott Graham, the performance was devised by the young performers, harnessing their voices, energy and commitment.

“Last year, CJ Ashen successfully auditioned for Ignition and we were delighted to learn that Ryan was accepted too,” says Learning Area Manager David Lloyd Jones. “The audition process is hugely competitive so for Gower College Swansea to have two successful students in two consecutive years is a fantastic achievement.”
