Overview

Our courses in professional accountancy are accredited by the ACCA and we are a Platinum Approved Learning Partner.  We are currently the only Further Education Centre in the UK to hold this level of tuition. They are designed to provide the knowledge, skills and professional values which will develop accounting professionals to build success careers; whether they work in the public or private sector, practice in an accounting organisation or pursue a career in business.

Entry Requirements

Ideally, students should have one or two GCSE Grades A-C however, common sense and an aptitude for numbers and estimation are more important. Open to students of all ages

Course Delivery

BT – Business and Technology -  will teach you how businesses operate effectively, efficiently and ethically and will show the critical role finance professionals play in achieving this. You'll understand business in the context of its environment, including economic, legal and regulatory influences on aspects like governance, employment, health and safety, data protection and security.

All tuition is based around classroom lectures by highly qualified and experienced members of staff.

Formal examinations are offered on demand.

Progression Opportunities

Students will be able to study and progress to other ACCA papers MA, FA, LW, PM, FR, TX, AA, FM SBL & SBR, plus optional subjects.

After completion of FM, an optional degree can be obtained through Oxford Brookes University. The college can offer a mentoring service for this qualification which is currently £500. Please contact Emma Thomas - Emma.Thomas@gcs.ac.uk for further information.

The course also provides a qualification that employers are looking for.
