Privacy Notice

To provide you with information about our welding courses we would like to collect some personal information from you.

This privacy notice tells you what we want to collect as a data controller, why we need it, how long we will keep it for and your rights.

We, as a College, want to make sure that we are using effective methods of reaching people, and we want your consent to collect and use your information for these purposes. This is our lawful reason for processing your data.

The personal data we are collecting is your name or the name of your business, your email address and phone number. We are also asking about the course(s) you are interested in, the number of people that you would like to receive training and whether you would like to receive information about other related courses or events at Gower College Swansea in the future.

We will use the information you provide to email or call you to assess your needs, give you further details on the courses and to book you onto courses. If you opt in to receiving information about other related courses and events at the College, we might also contact you about these.

We have a responsibility to keep your data safe and secure. We will delete your data by the end of the next academic year, unless you have opted in for information about other related courses and events at the College, in which case we will delete it within three years’ time or when you opt out of emails.

You have rights in relation to the information you provide us. These include the right to access that information and correct it if it is wrong. Depending on the circumstances and the information you have provided, you may have the right to object to the processing, restrict it or have it erased.
