Your library is an important part of college life. We invite you to visit the library (both its physical and virtual space), to explore the wealth of resources and support we provide. Experienced and friendly staff provide support through your research journey, whilst ensuring that your library provides a relaxed learning environment.

IMPORTANT: From the 24th March 2020, the Library services will be available online only. A list of the most important electronic resources for students is available here: View Library e-Resources

Library questions

What is my Student ID Card for?

Every student has an ID card. It entitles you to access the PCs at college, printing and copying facilities and borrow items from any library (you will need it every trip).

Do I have to be a student at the college to use the libraries?

No. If you are a member of any library in South West and Mid Wales, you will be allowed to use our libraries and borrow books.

I want to borrow some books. How long can I keep them for?

Every student is allowed to take out up to 8 items (including 2 DVDs). Most books are 3 week loans, but some popular titles are 1 week only.

The book I want to borrow is on a different campus. Do I have to travel to get it?

Not at all. We will bring the book to you! If any book that you want is at a different campus library, we can make sure you get it within approx. 24hrs.

I came across an eBook in the Library Search results and it is asking me for a Username and Password. What is it?

When you want to access any electronic resource, your username and password is the same as the one you use to log in to a PC.

What can a Library Advisor help me with?

Within your libraries, experienced and qualified staff are there to help you with your research. How do I book a session with a Library Advisor?

I need to print an assignment off in colour. Can I do this?

Yes, we have black and white and colour printer/photocopiers. When you receive your student id card, it will have £1 credit on it to access them. More credits can be bought.

My books are due back but I can't get into college. Can I take them out for longer?

As long as your books are not overdue or not reserved, you can renew them over the phone.

I have heard that you sell stationary. Is it cheaper than the shops?

We sell a good variety of stationary items including, pads, pens, folders, polypockets and much more, all at a really good price!
