Impressive Skills medal haul for College students
Gower College Swansea is celebrating after scooping an amazing 20 medals at the recent Skills Competition Wales suite of events.
Skills Competition Wales aims to raise the profile of skills in Wales and offers students, trainees and apprentices a chance to challenge, benchmark and raise their skills by taking part in competitions across a range of sectors.

Swansea’s very own Dr Doolittle secures offer from Cambridge
A Gower College Swansea student is one step closer to achieving his dream of becoming a vet after accepting an offer to study at one of the most prestigious universities in the UK.
Having achieved three A* in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, 18 year old Edan Reid from Swansea has his sights set on becoming a specialist vet.
Update on Centre Reviews Outcomes
The Centre Review process has now been completed and all grades have been sent to WJEC.
If you requested a review you will be emailed a response and the outcome by the end of today - Monday 5 July.
There will be another opportunity to appeal once the final grades are published by WJEC on 10 August (A Level) and 12 August (GCSE).

Our students' health, safety and wellbeing is our top priority, and we're always looking for new ways to support them. We are delighted to announce that we are now offering an excellent online support service called Togetherall.

Changes to results: what does this mean?
Following the announcement of 17 August by Welsh Government, students who have received A Level / AS Level / Welsh Baccalaureate (Skills Challenge Certificate) results this summer from the WJEC will have their grade updated to the grade we submitted to the exam board (Centre Assessed Grade or CAG).

Gower College Swansea exam results 2020
Students at Gower College Swansea are celebrating an overall A Level pass rate of 99%, with 1255 separate exam entries.
Of these passes, 34% were at grades A*-A, 61% were at A*-B and 85% were at A*-C.
The overall pass rate at AS Level was 91%, with 66% of those passes being grades A - C and 43% being grades A - B. There were 2610 separate exam entries for AS.
