Gower College Swansea A Level and L3 vocational results 2023

Students at Gower College Swansea are celebrating a strong set of A Level and vocational Level 3 results again in 2023. The overall A Level pass rate is 98%, with 1391 separate exam entries. Of these passes, 35% are at grades A*-A, 60% are at A*-B and 82% are at A*-C.

Our AS Government and Politics students recently visited London where they took in some very famous sights. It was an action-packed day. Setting off from Swansea at 5.30am, the students visited the UK Supreme Court and enjoyed a walking tour of Whitehall.

Students from Gower College Swansea recently enjoyed a lively discussion with members of the House of Commons Welsh Affairs Committee. The Gorseinon Campus hosted the roundtable meeting between learners and Geraint Davies, Labour MP for Swansea West; Stephen Crabb, Conservative MP for Preseli Pembrokeshire; and Ben Lake, Plaid Cymru MP for Ceredigion.

Lord Chief Justice offers local learners a chance to hear from judges

The most senior judge in England and Wales today visited Gower College Swansea. He was there to give the students the chance to hear about the work of judges, the justice system and the rule of law. Lord Burnett of Maldon, the Lord Chief Justice of England & Wales visited the College as part of the school’s engagement programme that judges are involved in across the country.
