College hosts Skills Competition Wales regional heat for Hairdressing
Gower College Swansea recently hosted a regional final of the Skills Competition Wales in Advanced Cut and Colour (hairdressing). Stylists from across South Wales gathered at the Broadway Hair, Beauty and Holistic Centre to demonstrate their talent with the scissors and spray.26

Global Entrepreneurship Week - where ideas come to life
Staff and students at Gower College Swansea have celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week with a range of events and activities across the campus. The week kicked off with a visit by Art and Design students to Swansea Business Gate and the film set of Da Vinci’s Demons, where they learned all about the kinds of employment opportunities that exist in the film and television industry.17

Global Enterprise Week at Gower College Swansea
Students at Gower College Swansea are enjoying a week of entrepreneurial activities organised by The Enterprise Team. The college is supporting Global Entrepreneurship Week UK with a programme of events which gives students the opportunity to rub shoulders with local business people and self-employed professionals.31

Special graduation event for college's HE students
Around 80 Higher Education students from Gower College Swansea recently attended a graduation event at the National Waterfront Museum. The students were celebrating achievement in subjects as diverse as accountancy, engineering, leadership and management, sports massage therapies, hair and beauty management, childcare, and health and social care services.16

Students make their mark at the Salon Cymru competitions
Gower College Swansea hairdressing students had a good day at the recent Salon Cymru competitions held at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff. Keiron Burgess, a Level 3 student, came third in the Bridal competition and another Level 3 student, Emily Davies, took second place in the Ladies Cut and Colour category.02
