Aerial Film Making

Course Overview

Drones offer an opportunity for filmmakers to produce stunning shots that, up until just a few years ago, was the preserve of large film production companies. Video has become one of the most widely used features of social media. Audiences have quickly become more discerning in differentiating between 'just a drone shot' and stunning aerial cinematography.

This course will provide a framework for drone pilots that want to transition to aerial cinematographers, providing an opportunity to develop video editing skills whether you are new to this world or a seasoned pilot.

If you want to use your drone to be creative then you might find this course will set yourself apart from the crowd, whether you want to make money with your drone or just take your hobby to the next level.

Purchasing a drone is one thing. However, if you maximise the experience, then not only do you need some piloting experience, but you will need to start thinking like a filmmaker. Upon completion of this course be expected to demonstrate a combination of flying skills with an understanding of filmmaking fundamentals.
