Black and White Film Photography (PLA)

Course Overview

This course explores the skills required for black and white film photography, including the development process. Learners will be shown how use a film SLR camera exploring shutter speeds, aperture and a range of settings. Using the dark room facilities at the campus learners will develop their film and produce a range of black and white photographic outcomes.

Some photography skills and experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Course Delivery

This course is workshop/studio based/dark room. The course is delivered through a range of practical workshops, 3 hours a week over 10 weeks and is subject to continuous assessment.

There are several opportunities including other part time courses, Level 3 Art and Design, Level 3 Creative Media, Foundation Diploma Art and Design.
