Coding with Databases

Course Overview

Digital content professionals use a broad range of technology tools and platforms for design, development, execution and evaluation of websites or applications. The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to create data-driven applications. It covers the design and implementation of databases including logical data modelling techniques and links with user interfaces to add, manipulate and query data. It also covers the specific development techniques used when linking data to mobile application interfaces.

This unit should be delivered to include program design, coding, testing and documentation. It is suggested that student who want to study this module should have completed a suitable Level 3 software development course such as Create an Event Driven Computer Program Level 3

Entry Requirements

Agored Create an Event Driven Computer Program Level 3 or any suitable programming course completed to Level 3 and the student can demonstrate a good understanding of developing applications with C#

This course is delivered over 30 weeks at three hours per week. Assessment includes a portfolio of work
