The aim of this qualification is to provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to cut and dress women's hair.
The skills developed by the learner will include basic cutting to include one length and layered looks and dressing the hair to include blow drying, setting and dressing long hair.
Learners will achieve related units in -
- Working in the hair industry
- Health and safety.
- Shampooing and conditioning the hair and scalp

The course is suitable for students who have no previous hairdressing experience.
ESOL Students - Level 1 Qualification
Level 1 Qualifications or GCSE equivalents.
The course will involve practical skills development on practice heads and assesments on clients.
There will also be theory input and a range of written tasks / online exams.
Progression onto other related courses (both full and part time) in hairdressing, beauty therapy and holistic therapies.
Course cost is £270.
There will be an additional kit cost of £111.25 and £10 cost for portfolio material.
