Professional Bicycle Maintenance Level one and two combined
Overview
This course provides full practical training and assessment in the areas of assembly, set-up and ongoing servicing and maintenance, starting at the basics of Professional Bicycle Maintenance level one.
This course includes:
- Health & Safety in the workshop
- Gear set-up
- Tyres and tubes
- Headsets, gears, rim brakes, hubs & bearings
- Introduction to disc brakes and hydraulic bleeding
- Internal hub gears
- Wheel truing and spoke replacement
- Wheel building
You will cover the practical elements of Level one and Level two.
Key information
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements. You should be working or intending to work in the bicycle maintenance industry.
Course Delivery
The course will be delivered in our new specialised facility over two weeks - Monday to Friday.
The course will be externally assessed to Cytech two by an accredited assessor from Activate Cycle Academy, Oxford. This date for the assessment session be given during the training.
Progression Opportunities
We also deliver Advanced E-bike Maintenance courses.
Additional Information
A bicycle and tools will be provided for the duration of the course.
