Overview
This unit is intended to give you a broad introduction to computer aided drawing (CAD) and its applications in engineering. The content of the unit includes looking at the applications of CAD, drawing with CAD and managing a CAD system effectively.

On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate the use of CAD
- Produce a simple CAD drawing in 2D and 3D
- Demonstrate how to save and store CAD data files correctly
- Demonstrate how to output CAD data to peripheral devices.
Progress to a Level 2 course within a similar subject area.
