Glass Techniques

Course Overview

This course will encourage you to explore and experiment with a range of glass techniques and surface applications, materials tools and including warm glass techniques. This is a real chance to get creative and experiment with fusing glass, slumping, mouldmaking techniques in a variety of processes.

This is an ideal start up course or if you want to develop your skills further your own creative practice. You will have access to our dedicated glass workshop facilities where you can work sustainable with recycled glass, glass frits, confetti etc or construct 3D with UV glues.

All aspects of working safely in a glass workshop will be addressed and you will be guided and mentored by an experienced tutor.

No prior knowledge is needed

Course Delivery

The course is workshop based with practical weekly demonstrations and a personal project. Each learner will be given a booklet in which to compile written and visual evidence, this will be assessed along with the final outcomes.

Progression Opportunities

There are opportunities to progress to other Agored levels and also the Level 2 Art and Design, Level 3 Art and Design, and the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design
