Course Overview
The aim of this course is to develop knowledge and skills to provide support for the learning of children and young people who have autism. The learner will:
- Know the educational implications of autism
- Know how to provide an inclusive learning environment for children and young people who have autism
- Be able to support the learning of children and young people who have autism
- Be able to reflect on the application of skills acquired from professional development

Entry Requirements
Learners must have good levels of English to be able to complete the written assessments and need to be working or volunteering in a relevant work placement. Minimum age for learners is 18.
Course Delivery
Assessments will be via written work and practical demonstration
Additional Information
Learners will attend college for 12 weeks at two hours a week. Learners will also need to be assessed in the workplace.
