Course Overview

This two-year course provides individuals working in the chemical and related industries with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to succeed in employment. Learners will develop a range of skills, techniques and attributes essential for successful performance in working life.

Unit 8: Organic Chemistry (Mandatory)

Year 2

Unit 3: Regulation and Quality in the Applied Sciences (Mandatory)

Unit 9: Physical Chemistry (Mandatory)

Unit 15: Introduction to polymer materials and properties (Specialist unit)

Unit 20: Introduction to Material Properties and Applications (Specialist unit)

Progression Opportunities

Progression on to an undergraduate degree in applied chemistry or a related area.
