Overview

This unit addresses the definition of corporate social responsibility and sustainability; and the contribution that can be made by facilities management. It will also explore the potential impact of an organisation’s arrangements for facilities management on the organisation’s external environment.  

You will develop an understanding of the nature of corporate social responsibility, and how to ensure that facilities supplies and services are provided in ways that take account of corporate social responsibility. You will consider how energy required for facilities supplies and services can be provided and used in ways that take account of sustainability.

It’s for you if you are a first-line manager or supervisor in facilities management. It is also suitable for staff aspiring to work in a managerial or supervisory role.
