Success for college swimmers

Four Gower College Swansea students, who are all studying A Levels at the Gorseinon campus, took part in the recent Urdd National Swimming Gala.

Dylan Lambropolus, Kyle Job, Oliver Jones and Lewis Quirk came first in two relay races – the medley and the freestyle. They were competing against pupils and students from all over Wales in the ‘over year 11’ age category.

“This is the first time students from Aelwyd Coleg Gŵyr have taken part in the competitions so we are extremely proud of their sweeping success,” says Anna Davies, the College’s Bilingual Champion. “The hope is that we can continue to compete in a variety of the Urdd’s competitions over the year, and build on the success we have had in previous years - with swimming now being added to the list!”
