College celebrates Swansea Council ILM cohort success

Gower College Swansea was delighted to celebrate the achievements of Swansea Council’s Parks and Cleansing team.

Jeremy Davies’ team embarked on their ILM Level 3 Award just over twelve months ago, and with the support and guidance of the College’s tutors Adele Morgan and Susan Washer, the team successfully graduated at an intimate celebration event at Sketty Hall Business School.

The Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) is a Welsh Government funded initiative that supports colleges in Wales with the delivery of activities designed to accelerate and build expertise for staff and increase learner knowledge and learning experience.

Gower College Swansea emerges as an educational pioneer once again, proudly launching a brand-new apprenticeship pathway in User Centred Design (UCD), establishing itself as the first and exclusive provider of this innovative program in Wales. With a dedication to innovation and fostering talent, the College marks a significant milestone by introducing a curriculum that aligns with the demands of contemporary industries.

College hosts events linked to BBC Radio 1 Academy

Gower College Swansea was delighted to host a series of events last week at its Tycoch Campus in the run up to Radio 1’s Academy at the Swansea Grand Theatre in May.

On Friday 20 April students had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A workshop with BBC Radio 1’s DJ Matt Edmondson where they got the opportunity to explore how a live broadcast is put together and the tricks of the trade that go with it.
