Introduction to Machine Applique

Course Overview

Come along and enjoy sociable evenings with the creative team at Llwyn y Bryn, where you will meet like-minded people while you explore your creative side and learn new applique skills, whether you are new to the technique or you want to develop your existing skills.

Applique is the perfect way to use up old fabric scraps or upcycle old garments which you do not want to part with. No prior sewing experience is required, and you can be successful at the technique without being very creative. An instructor, who will be present along the whole journey, will demonstrate planning and stitching techniques in easy to follow steps, and you will be able to learn hand and machine techniques.

The three-hour sessions will provide plenty of time to learn and to get to know your fellow crafters over a cup of tea. After learning the basics, you could create cushions, tote bags, wall hangings and more.
