Overview

This qualification includes all the required elements to carry out a micro dermabrasion treatment, including the application of micro dermabrasion to improve the appearance and condition of the skin on the face and body. To carry out this unit you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene procedures throughout your work.

Apply micro dermabrasion
Client care and communication in beauty related industries
Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon.

Key information

Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy
Interview
Applicants whose first language is not English will need to have an ESOL Level 1 qualification.

Continuous practical assessment, exams and written assignments.

Students will be expected to undertake home study, including written and practical coursework.

Career opportunities include: Working in commercial beauty salons, spas, cruise liners or working independently, self-employed in a mobile or home-based setting.

Learners are required to purchase a uniform as part of their course.
