Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Part time students will receive help to improve literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills with specialist tuition. Additional resources are also available such as computers, iPads and educational software to aid literacy and support additional learning needs.
You can improve English and maths skills which can help you to get a job, pass the driving theory test or help your children with homework. We offer courses at our Llwyn y Bryn campus and at Communities First venues near you.

IELTS Preparation courses
ESOL Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 students
£10 per hour, minimum eight weeks (£240), maximum 18 weeks (£540)

Using the latest technology to learn
ABE and ESOL learners took part in the Regional Essential Skills project to develop literacy and digital literacy skills. They really enjoyed using iPads at the National Waterfront Museum to learn about Swansea's history by following a QR code trail.

The ESOL and ABE teams have got to grips with some basic Welsh language skills and pronunciation activities thanks to Sgiliaith Cymru and Welsh Champion Anna Davies.
