Gower College Swansea students secure coveted scholarships for Global Summer School 2023

Colleges Wales, in their commitment to fostering global learning experiences, have chosen two outstanding students Carys and Alpha, to embark on an exciting educational journey. These talented individuals have been awarded scholarships to participate in a three-week Global Summer School at Humber College in Toronto, focusing on the captivating field of podcasting. This unique opportunity will allow Carys and Alpha to expand their horizons, develop new skills, and network with experts in the podcasting industry.

“Humber College offered Colleges Wales a full scholarship for the programme for two students from across Wales, and we have been fortunate to secure the two places for Gower College Swansea students. The College recognises the tremendous value that international activities such as this one provides, in creating global citizens with an appreciation of the world at large."

Ruth added “International remains at the top of the agenda at the College, in fact earlier this year, the College won the prestigious Beacons Award for Internationalism, sponsored by the British Council.”
