Overview

This Digital Discovery Day is designed for anyone who wants to create more engaging and professional digital content, whether in business or education.

Participants will explore alternatives to traditional PowerPoint, including the latest Microsoft 365 features with AI enhancements, as well as tools like Canva, Gamma and multimedia books. The focus is on practical, hands-on approaches to designing content that communicates clearly, looks polished, and captures attention, without requiring specialist design skills.

Learners will leave with a range of ideas and techniques they can apply immediately to showcase work and engage audiences effectively.

Key information

Knowledge of using digital tools.

Delivered as a practical, interactive workshop, the morning session is tutor-led, introducing each tool and demonstrating key features. Learners are encouraged to experiment with the tools themselves, creating sample content and exploring creative approaches.

The afternoon session focuses on collaboration and reflection, allowing participants to share ideas, discuss what works well, troubleshoot challenges, and develop practical strategies for integrating these tools into their own work or teaching.

By the end of the day, participants will have hands-on experience and actionable skills for producing professional, engaging digital content.
