Course Overview
An appreciation of white goods service and repair. You will be working in our specialist industry standard white goods workshops looking at the latest washing machines and tumble dryers.
The course is classroom based with a heavy accent on practical delivery. The course is assessed by observation and specific industry standard practical assessments. There are no external examinations all tasks are assessed in a controlled workshop environment.
During the course students will be exposed to the very latest SMART technologies in the sector.

Entry Requirements
By interview - some prior electrical / electronic experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
Course Delivery
The white goods industry includes washing machines, tumble dryers and cookers.
The course will take the student through the underpinning knowledge required to repair and service the devices.
Progression Opportunities
There is a shortage of engineers in the sector so this course can lead to introduction into a career in the sector.
There would also be possibilities to take a Level 3 qualification in this discipline.

There are some opportunities for work experience - these will be discussed during the learning program.
