Introduction to Crochet Motif Techniques

Course Overview

From clothing to homeware and accessories, crochet is definitely back in fashion! Whether you’re new to the craft or have tried and struggled to get to grips with the craft in the past, this is the perfect course for you.

In a series of practical workshops with an experienced tutor, you will learn how to hold the needles while you use the yarn and create the simple stitches that are the basis to all crochet projects, such as making a chain and single, double and treble crochet. You will also learn how to shape an item and join completed motifs together to form a larger item like a blanket, scarf, hat, bag or phone pouch.  There will be sessions dedicated to square, circular, and hexagonal motifs: everything you need to know to undertake your own project.

There will be lots of beginner and developer projects to undertake once you have learnt the basics.
