Introduction to Hand Knitting

Course Overview

Have you ever wanted to learn to knit, or have you tried in the past and struggled to get to grips with the craft? This course provides the ideal opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a series of practical workshops with an experienced tutor. You will learn how to hold the needles while you use the yarn, create simple stitches like plain and purl, cast on and off, shape an item and join completed panels together.

There will be many beginner and developer projects to undertake once you have learnt the basics. You could create a blanket, scarf, hat or maybe even a Christmas egg cosy to adorn your breakfast table on Christmas morning! But it won’t all be hard work, there will be time to chat and socialise over a cuppa.

Sign up and learn everything you have ever wanted to know about the ancient craft of knitting, and make some lovely, practical things!
