Course Overview
This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as an Aromatherapist including mandatory units covering the following:
- Provide aromatherapy for complementary therapies
- Business practice for complementary therapies
- Knowledge of Anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies.
- Principles and practice of complementary therapies
You will develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide aromatherapy treatments. The course covers a range of practical assessments along with written assignments and external tests. A portfolio of evidence will be produced.
Entry Requirements
L3 Swedish massage Certificate.
This course is suitable for mature students with a good general education. You must have a positive attitude for the therapy and an ability to work as a member of a professional team. A well-presented personal appearance is essential. Students should be 18 years and over.
Course Delivery
You will attend college one evening per week between 6pm and 9pm for 34 weeks. You will be expected to do a minimum of three hours per week of independent study.
Progression Opportunities
Upon successful completion you can progress onto other holistic therapy courses, full time FD Spa Management or beauty therapy courses. Employment opportunities can include health spas, salons, cruise liners, working abroad, etc.
