Course Overview
Duration: Two years
This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in mechanical engineering, with a responsibility for the design, installation, commissioning and operation of engineering services.

Entry Requirements
Students should normally have a HNC with 120 credits at Level 4. This needs to be from an approved programme. Please contact us for confirmation and an interview.
Course Delivery
This course is delivered over two academic years.
Year 1
The modules are:
Level 5
- engineering mechanical principles
- manufacturing, design and technology
- thermofluid mechanics
Year 2
The modules are:
Level 5
- group project
- management, innovation and sustainability
- fault diagnosis and condition monitoring
Progression Opportunities
The qualification opens up career opportunities in consulting, contracting and manufacturing in both the public and private sector. Students can also progress onto the BEng or the MEng at University of Wales Trinity St David.

From September 2023 tuition fees for this course are £2100 per year.
