Having accommodation issues can be extremely worrying for someone who is trying to study. At Gower College Swansea, we have a homeless support officer who has excellent links with homeless organisations.

The job of the homeless support officer is to provide advice and support to those students who may be experiencing difficult accommodation issues because of relationship breakdown at home etc.

The homeless support officer works closely with the Bays Project to try and prevent homelessness and also ensures that those students who are homeless are accommodated swiftly in appropriate housing (with the support of agencies in supporting students with their independent living needs).
