Gower College Swansea launches new CILEX Legal Services Level 5 apprenticeship

Gower College Swansea is delighted to announce the availability of the CILEX Legal Services Level 5 apprenticeship from September 2026, providing a new progression route for individuals working in the legal sector who are looking to advance their careers and professional expertise.

The launch strengthens the College’s growing legal apprenticeship pathway, supporting workforce development and progression across the South Wales legal sector.

West Wales employers discover new routes to talent at Legal Lattes event

Gower College Swansea welcomed employers from across the legal sector to Legal Lattes: Wales West, a breakfast event showcasing the benefits of apprenticeship pathways in legal services for professional development.

Held at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel in Narberth, the event brought together subject experts and legal employers to explore the fully funded CILEX Legal Services apprenticeship programmes available at the College, alongside information on AAT Accountancy apprenticeships.

College introduces new Legal Services apprenticeship

Gower College Swansea is thrilled to announce the availability of a brand new Legal Services apprenticeship, further expanding our award-winning apprenticeship provision.

Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX), this highly practical and career-focused programme will enable candidates to pursue a variety of roles within the legal sector, including Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Legal Administrator and Legal Secretary.

Students meet the Counsel General on campus

A Level students at Gower College Swansea have been paid a special visit by the Counsel General, Jeremy Miles AM.

At a seminar with Law and Criminology students at the Gorseinon campus, the Counsel General spoke about a range of issues pertaining to access to justice. This included the availability of legal aid, the court modernisation programme, the increasing costs of court fees, legal education and the codification of the law.
