Overview

Throughout this two year course, you will study a variety of units, where you will realise just how the travel and tourism industry links with so many sectors of work.  

Topics included are: 

  • Customer Service 
  • Preparing for a career 
  • Investigating airline cabin crew 
  • UK Visitor Attractions 
  • Travel & Tourism Destinations 
  • UK Conference & Event Industry  
  • Hospitality in travel and tourism  

You will also be studying the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales qualification.   

 

Key information

  • Five GCSEs at grade C or above, to include English Language or Welsh 
  •  or a Level 2 Diploma in a related subject (with a merit profile). 

Continuous assessment through assignments, role play and presentations graded at Pass, Merit, or Distinction. 

100% course work, where you will build a portfolio of evidence in year 1 and year 2.  

Further study at university in related subjects such as hospitality, leisure, tourism or air travel management.  

Careers in attraction management, travel agency, airline cabin crew, customer services or events management to name just a few!  

 

This course incorporates exciting trips to local and national attractions, providing you with first-hand experiences to gather evidence for your assignments. These visits make the coursework relatable, making assignments fun, enhancing and enriching your learning. Course costs are approximately £100-£150 (year 1) £350 (year 2) Financial assistance is available (if applicable).
