Esports Level 2
Overview
In this course, you'll have the opportunity to explore the diverse and dynamic career paths that esports has to offer and gain a wealth of transferrable skills and knowledge to succeed in this ever-evolving landscape.
Esports is more than just professional gaming - it’s a booming industry bursting with diverse career opportunities.
Students will gain hands-on experience with the core principles of esports through a through a range of different projects, whilst building a portfolio of work to showcase their skills across different units.
Units on the esports course will include:
- Esports games, teams and tournaments
- Establishing an esports organisation
- Streaming for esports
- Plan an esport event
- Enterprise in esports
- Design an esports game
- Health and wellbeing in esports.
These units allow students to develop their skills and promote themselves in the esports industry, and the portfolio created with showcase their skills potential employers.
Key information
A minimum of four GCSEs at grades D or above.
The course is delivered in person and through continual assessment. There are currently no exams on this Level 2 course.
Students on this esport course will leave with a qualification that can lead onto the Level 3 Esports course.
