Skills for Further Study Level 1 - Diploma
Overview
This level one course in Skills for Further Study is for students who need extra support in areas such as literacy and numeracy. The course will also cover topics such as basic sociology, psychology and anatomy and physiology. The course underpins our level two and level three programmes in topics and content and will fully prepare students for progression onto the next level.
Key information
Students are expected to hold Entry Level 3 qualifications (or equivalent) in English.
Students will be given an entry assessment to determine academic levels if the above qualifications are not held.
This is a one year full-time course, three days per week.
Assessment
Assessments include essays, exams, reports, presentations, booklets and role play.
The assessments are based on pass or fail but there will be lots of support available to aid students gain a pass grade.
Passing this course allows progression onto our Skills for Further Study Level 2 Diploma course.
