Overview
This Level 2 course is designed to be an introduction to computerised payroll software packages in the UK.
Study details
Hands on computer work combining theory and practical computerised payroll including:
- Production of payslips
- Entering staff details
- Changes to tax rates, NI rates, SMP, SSP, SPP, SAP
- Holiday planners
- Pension schemes
- Variations to payroll including overtime, bonuses, commissions, expenses
- P11’s, P32’s, P35’s, P45’s, etc.
- Year-end calculations and HMRC form completion.
This course is not running at the moment .
Key information
Ideally, students should have one or two GCSE Grades A-C however, common sense and an aptitude for numbers and estimation are more important. Open to students of all ages.
Assessment:
- Continuous assessment throughout the course
- No formal examinations.
