Digital Literacy Level 3 - Course
Overview
The Level 3 Digital Literacy course, delivered one day a week, is aimed at professionals across a wide range of sectors who want to develop practical, transferrable digital skills at A-Level equivalent.
Learners will explore effective online searching, Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Teams, Loop, PowerPoint, Sway and Forms, as well as other digital tools including Canva, Gamma, Padlet and AI applications. The course also covers accessibility, creating engaging digital content such as webpages, presentations and multimedia books, and using AI tools effectively and ethically.
The focus is on practical, hands-on learning, with a balance of collaborative discussion and independent work to complete the qualification portfolio.

- This is a Level 3 (A-Level equivalent course) in a short period of time, therefore a good level of digital skills is required.
Each workshop is delivered in-person, and combines a tutor-led morning session with practical, independent work in the afternoon. Mornings introduce and demonstrate tools and techniques, with guided practice and use of the tools with small-scale collaboration.
Afternoons are focused on applying learning independently, completing tasks, and building a portfolio of work for assessment. The course supports reflection, troubleshooting, and sharing ideas when helpful, while prioritising learners’ ability to work independently and develop skills they can directly apply in their own professional or educational context.
