ESOL students enjoy a slice of Welsh history

As part of this year’s St David’s Day celebrations, the ABE and ESOL teams organised a joint educational trip for around 80 learners to St Fagans National History Museum.

With the weather on their side, the participants were able to explore the outdoor museum in its full glory, picnicking in the grounds of the wonderful Elizabethan manor house, as well as partaking in delicious freshly baked Welsh cakes at the Derwen Bake House.

The visit was considered to be a great success - as in previous years - and gave learners a real insight into the lives of Welsh people throughout history.

Many were able to make comparisons between life in Wales and life in their native countries, which they found fascinating.
