Llwyn y Bryn welcomes back illustrators

Professional illustrators and former Llwyn y Bryn students Simon Williams and Jason Cardy dropped in recently to have a chat with the current Levels 1 and 2 Art and Design cohort.

Both Simon and Jason have worked professionally in the comic book industry for over ten years. Their portfolios include illustrations for Marvel Comics, CD and book covers and personal work for celebrities such as David Hasselhoff.

Simon and Jason spoke fondly of their time at the Llwyn y Bryn campus as "some of the best years of our lives."

"It was great to welcome Simon and Jason back and they gave the students some really valuable advice about focusing on their studies and prepping for Higher Education and employment," says lecturer Marilyn Jones.

"It's awesome to be back at Llwyn y Bryn and to meet the staff and students," says Simon. "Everyone was so supportive of us when we were here and they really did open up so many opportunities for us."
