Rugby team wins British Colleges Plate final

The Gower College Swansea under 19's rugby team has won the British Colleges Plate final. The team secured the trophy after an impressive 65-15 victory over Worcester 6th form college at Burton RFC. This was the college’s second win in two years

Coach, Dan Cluroe, commented: “This is a great achievement as Worcester have very strong links with Worcester Warriors Rugby Club. In perfect running rugby conditions we ran in eight tries, with Luke Jenkins scoring a hat-trick. Man of the match was awarded to back rower Ben Davies who covered every blade of grass on the field! It was a huge team effort with all players coming off the bench to enjoy the victory.”
