A Level Geography, Politics and World Development students from Gower College Swansea recently visited the USA, taking in stops at the United Nations, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the 911 memorial museum.

The geographers were able to examine the sustainability of New York City, including a look at an 'urban farm' and the High Line park regeneration.

Meanwhile, the politics and world development students travelled to Washington to visit the Capitol Buildings, the National Archives, the Lincoln Memorial and the White House.
