Students explore employment opportunities

Engineering Technology students from Gower College Swansea's Tycoch campus recently visited TIMET in Waunarlwydd.

TIMET is a world leader in the production of titanium for the aerospace, military, oil and gas industries. They are taking on apprentices this summer and invited our students to take a tour of the plant prior to the work experience stage of the recruitment process.

“This is a very exciting time of year for our engineering students," says lecturer Coral Planas. "Having the opportunity to apply for an apprenticeship with a company such as Timet is a real privilege.”
