Students explore Welsh performance opportunities

Updated 09/11/2017

A group of Welsh students studying performance-related courses at Gower College Swansea have visited the talented team who run a BA Performance course at the Welsh Centre for Performance at the Gate in Cardiff – a course which is taught through the medium of Welsh.

Our students had an opportunity to take part in acting, dancing and singing workshops led by Eiry Thomas, Jackie Bristow, Elen Bowman and Eilir Owen Griffiths. It was a day packed full of fun and learning, all while promoting the Welsh language in this subject area.

“We are very grateful to Eilir and the team for the opportunity to visit them and we really hope that that this will be an annual event to maintain our links with the Gate,“ says Bilingual Champion Anna Davies.“We are very much looking forward to attending their Christmas performance of Sweeney Todd at the end of term.”
