Students 'wear it red' for British Heart Foundation

Travel and Tourism students from Gower College Swansea have raised over £100 for the British Heart Foundation.

As part of the annual ‘Wear It, Beat It’ campaign the students, who are based at the Tycoch campus, organised a number of activities including a cake sale, a raffle and competitions.

“The students worked really hard to prepare for this event and we are delighted with the money we raised - £100 and still counting,” says lecturer Beverley Carver. “Heart and circulatory disease takes the lives of more than 400 people in the UK every single day, so the students really wanted to get behind this campaign and raise as much as they could. A big thanks to everyone who visited our stalls and donated for this very good cause.”
