Gower College Swansea has been shortlisted in two categories at the prestigious Wales STEM Awards 2025.

The Wales STEM Awards shine a spotlight on the organisations and individuals making a difference to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) agenda in Wales.

The College is in the running for two awards – the STEM Educational Programme of the Year (Public Sector) and STEM Woman of the Year.

Celebrating a decade of training excellence, The Princess Royal Training Awards honour organisations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to learning and development.

Coinciding with HRH The Princess Royal’s 75th birthday, the tenth year of the Awards saw 143 applications, with 57 achieving the prestigious award.

100% A Level pass rate as Gower College Swansea marks another year of academic excellence

Students and staff at Gower College Swansea are celebrating a fantastic year of academic achievement, as envelopes were opened to reveal another impressive set of A Level and vocational Level 3 results for 2025. 

This year the College has seen a rise in its overall A Level pass rate, which stands at a remarkable 100% (the Wales national average is 97.5%), with 1250 individual exam entries.

How to get your exam / qualification results August 2025

Those with fixed results days should look out for an invitation from us w/c Monday 4 August. This will detail the arrangements for collecting your results.  

The fixed results days are:

A Level, Vocational Level 3 (such as BTEC, OCR, UAL, NCFE) and Welsh Baccalaureate 
Thursday 14 August 2025 (from 9.15am)

GCSE and Vocational Level 2 
Thursday 21 August 2025 (from 9.15am)

Results will also be available via eILP on both days.

Gower College Swansea celebrates staff wellbeing with annual summer event

At the close of another academic year, Gower College Swansea hosted its much-anticipated annual summer Staff Wellbeing Day on 3 July 2025, where over 300 staff were able to access over 40 separate activities.

This year’s event offered teaching and support staff a wide range of opportunities to unwind and recharge, featuring activities such as line dancing, shamanic healing, seated chair massage, hanging basket tutorial,  cold water therapy, hot pod yoga, and silversmithing.
