Gower College Swansea and The Secret Hospitality Group are proud to announce the launch of a brand-new partnership: The Secret Hospitality Group x Gower College Swansea Academy, a dynamic initiative designed to inspire, develop and nurture emerging talent within the hospitality industry.

This partnership aims to raise the profile of hospitality as a rewarding career choice while creating direct pathways for learners.

The Academy will serve as a dedicated platform for developing essential hospitality skills and expertise. By joining forces, both organisations will share knowledge, best practices and unique resources to enhance the learning experience and industry readiness of students.

Key objectives of the Academy include:

  • Raising the profile of hospitality careers: Showcasing the diversity and opportunity within the sector through community engagement and success stories that challenge common misconceptions.
  • Creating opportunities for learners: Offering hands-on work experience, paid employment, and mentoring opportunities to empower Gower College Swansea students with practical skills, confidence and industry connections.
  • Supporting recruitment and workforce development: Providing The Secret Hospitality Group with a pipeline of well-trained, motivated talent prepared to meet the evolving demands of the hospitality workforce.
  • Collaborating to add social value: Engaging in community-focused initiatives such as events, school outreach, and promoting sustainable and inclusive hospitality practices.
  • Driving excellence through innovation: Developing cutting-edge training programs, workshops, and resources that align with the latest trends and needs in hospitality.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Secret Hospitality Group in a way that truly bridges the gap between education and industry”, said Paul Kift, Vice Principal of Skills and Partnerships.

“By developing these strong connections, we’re not only addressing critical skills gaps in the sector, but also equipping our students with the practical experience, insights and networks they need to thrive in their careers and drive the hospitality industry forward,” he added.

“The Academy is all about giving young people real-life experience, support and the skills to shine in the fast-paced, rewarding world of hospitality, and we are delighted to be working so closely with the College,” said Lucy Hole and Amy Harvey of The Secret Hospitality Group.

“Through our multiple venues, we are committed to creating meaningful career pathways and enhancing the reputation of hospitality as a vibrant, long-term and highly rewarding industry.”

The Secret Hospitality Group x Gower College Swansea Academy is set to become a flagship model for hospitality education and workforce development, benefiting learners, employers and the wider community.
